Post-doctoral fellow in food biotechnology & functional food: Universiti Putra Malaysia (UPM)

2 post-doctoral positions are available immediately within the food biotechnology and functional food research group at the Faculty of Food Science & Technology, UPM, Malaysia. The position is for 1-3 years, depending on the candidate’s performance. We are seeking for motivated candidates with excellent scientific background in one or more of the following areas:

  • Food Enzymology
  • Plant-derived biopeptides
  • Enhancement of fermented food quality through biotechnology approach e.g.: enhancement of vitamins, gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) and etc, contents in fermented food.
  • Enzymatic modification of food

Selected candidates will be performing research in the above-mentioned fields, as well as assisting in supervising undergraduate and post-graduate students.

Applicants must hold a Ph.D. degree from an accredited institution, preferably in the above-mentioned or closely related areas. Fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply. Applicants are expected to be active in publishing his/her works, and preferably has at least 12 recent publications.
