PhD Positions at Vienna PhD School of Informatics, Austria
The PhDSchool is located at TU Vienna and admits Austrian as well asinternational students annually. TU Vienna invites applications for amaximum of 15 PhD scholarships per year. The first study year of the PhDSchool started in October 2009. No tuition fees have to be paid bythese holders of scholarships.

Overview
TheVienna PhD School of Informatics involves an intense period ofsupervised study and research, culminating in the submission of athesis. The duration of the PhD School is three years. The degree isawarded to candidates who, through original investigation, make adistinct and significant contribution to knowledge in their field ofspecialisation.
ThePhD-School’s curriculum covers the main research areas of the Faculty of Informatics. In addition, it may also imply cooperationwith other TU Vienna faculties. The school is designed to facilitate theintegration of industry, either by defining joint research issues, byoffering workplaces (with well-defined research related tasks) duringsummer breaks, or by sponsoring.
TUVienna aims at positioning this PhD School of Informatics at a highlevel of excellence within the international community. The vision is toincrease both the quality and the quantity of excellent youngresearchers in the field of informatics.
