Selection criteria:

• Successfully meet the requirements for entry into Master of International Business, Master of Marketing Management or Master of Business Administration (including minimum standards of English language proficiency);
• Written personal statement (maximum 500 words) addressing your academic merit, what you hope to get out of your study experience at La Trobe, and interest and commitment to promoting the Graduate School of Management to prospective international students.

Tuition

The tuition for MPP and MBA is 7 million won per semester (Total 28 million won). Because the NIIED’s tuition limit is 5 million won per semester, to make up for this difference, the KDI School will be offering scholarships worth 2 million won each.

Important Points to Remember

For the Designated Application Admissions, the final results will be decided based on the Korean Language Test results (50%) and the KDI School’s admission results (50%)

Unrestricted Applicants do not need to submit their Korean Language Test results. Those who are able to study in English can apply to the KDI School regardless of their Korean language competence.

HBS awards need-based fellowships to provide access to admitted students with limited financial resources. These Fellowships are made possible through the generous support of our alumni and friends who share HBS’s commitment to investing in our students. All students with financial need are invited to apply for HBS Fellowships after admission to the MBA Program.

Criteria

HBS Fellowships are awarded based on financial need. Your academic or professional performance/merit are not used in financial aid decisions. Nearly 50% of the class receives an average of approximately $23,000 per year in need-based HBS Fellowships.

• In general, we expect that a student will have saved a percentage of his/her income from each of the prior three years. This expected percentage will vary depending on your prior income. Students with higher earnings are expected to contribute to the costs of their MBA at a higher rate than students with lower earnings.
• Any HBS Fellowship award will be based on an analysis of your income for the prior three years and your assets. If you are married, we will also consider your spouse’s income and assets, and your higher cost of living will be a factor.
• There will be a base loan package before any fellowship is awarded. The average MBA debt for the class of 2008 was $80,525.
• HBS Fellowships will fund your financial need (as determined by MBA Financial Aid Services) beyond the base loan package and your student contribution.

Retirement and Other Assets

• Please note that retirement assets with a value of $100,000 or less are not considered available for the MBA Program.
• We will consider that 25% of retirement assets above $100,000 are available.
• All other assets, including cash, money market, CDs, stocks, securities, mutual funds, bonds, trust funds, home equity and other investments will be used in the analysis of your financial need.

Funds from Outside Scholarships

• Students may receive up to $20,000 (or $10,000 per year) over the two year MBA Program from an outside scholarship source before we will reduce your HBS Fellowship.
• Employer sponsorship and employer loans are considered as outside scholarships for financial aid purposes. Therefore, students who receive employer loans or sponsorships from employers are generally not eligible for HBS Fellowships as our fellowship program is designed to assist students with the fewest resources.

The iBMG is affiliated with Erasmus MC and the Erasmus University Rotterdam and is responsible for several education programs on policy and management positions in healthcare, which serve 750 students. In addition, research is being done on three major research themes:

• market organising and system setup
• quality and effectiveness in healthcare
• healthcare organisation management

iBMG has about 175 employees. The three positions offered are within the department of Healthcare Governance.

The Department of Healthcare Governance

The department of Healthcare Governance studies the development and consequences of changing steering arrangements in the healthcare sectors. The department consists of some 25 researchers with different social science backgrounds such as public administration, science and technology studies, organizational sociology and anthropology. This combination of disciplines places us in a unique position to study both changing ‘modes of governance’ and the relation they have with changing positions of key actors in the field of healthcare (e.g. professionals, patients, managers) as well as the material infrastructures (e.g. information technologies, performance assessment tools) that are built to form the changing steering relationships. Description of the position

The Ph.D. candidates will participate in one or more of several research projects of the department of Healthcare Governance, concerning the position of managers in increasingly complex and hybrid healthcare settings, innovations in health and social care and patient safety. They will also play a role in the educational programs in which the department participates, mainly at the bachelor level.

Requirements

The successful applicant for this position is expected to have a master degree in a relevant field like Health Policy and Management, Science and Technology Studies, Public Administration, or Organisation Studies.
Further s/he should have good writing skills, and a strong motivation for doing scholarly research in the field of healthcare governance.
Candidates with strong skills and experience with doing empirical research, qualitative research methods like ethnography, interviewing and discourse analysis are preferred. Candidates should have excellent skills in English and Dutch.

Appointment and salary

Come 2010, iBMG will become a part of the Erasmus University Rotterdam (EUR). New employees will be employed by the EUR from now on. This means that your contract will be subject to the Collective Labour Agreement for Dutch Universities (CAO NU). A Ph.D. candidate will initially receive a temporary contract for 1.5 years in order to assess his or her compatibility. When you prove to be an asset, you will receive a second temporary contract for 2.5 years. Remuneration will be in accordance with the Ph.D. scale set by the CAO NU. Fulltime work (38 hours per week) will pay € 2.042.- before taxes in the first year, going up to € 2.612.- in the fourth and final year. In addition, there’s a set end-of-year bonus of 8.3% and generous opportunities for taking time off.
